The May-June 2005 edition
of Clearinghouse Review, a publication of the Sargent Shriver
National Center on Poverty Law, explored a variety of issues surrounding
childhood lead poisoning prevention and healthy homes in general. The
articles focused on legal and policy remedies to healthy homes problems,
including the lead hazard disclosure law, private rights of action, improving
Medicaid blood lead screening rates, and a partnership between doctors
and lawyers to advance healthy, affordable housing. The articles were
authored or co-authored by Alliance staff and individuals who work closely
with the Alliance to solve the childhood lead poisoning problem. The full
